Many of the book series in this list were composed by various authors under a single pseudonym, such as Victor Appleton for the Tom Swift series. I use the pen names in favor of real names since that's the only way most of us recognize these books. Some women, like Mary Lousia Molesworth, chose to published under their husband's name, so that "Mrs. Molesworth" was the name on the books, and that's how I list them.
